FIERCE III Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

The 2019 growing season was dry through winter and spring and it continued that way until harvest, producing lower yields, with lots of varietal definition.
Grown on the Estate vineyards, at Rowland Flat in southern Barossa Valley. Sourced predominately from their Winery block. The vines are planted in 1995 on a single wire trellis managing yield to low/moderate and facilitating dappled sunlight to the fruit critically important to Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve tannin ripeness.
Cook with me, drink me, share me with your friends.

Colour: Black cherry, with vibrant garnet hues
Nose: Varietal aromas of Cassis, blackcurrant and red berry fruits. Hints of spice and toast from the American oak.
Palate: Intensely varietal Cabernet Sauvignon flavours on the palate. Full bodied, harmonious with upfront fruit characters and cocoa tannins that fan out from beginning to finish. Savoury notes of black olive and chocolate give length and structure to the wine.

ABOUT FIERCE III AND LOU MIRANDA ESTATE

Based at the Southern end of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Great food and wine is best shared, this is the central philosophy at Lou Miranda Estate. Named for their father Lou Miranda, his daughters, Lisa, Angela and Victoria run the family boutique Barossa vineyards, winery and cellar door with charming devotion to good old-fashioned Italian hospitality.

All their wines are produced from their Estate owned vineyards, the 100 acres are on four sites located at a maximum of 8 kilometres from the winery. They are privileged to be custodians of four centenarian old vine blocks in Southern Barossa Valley, the oldest dating back to 1897. Their dedication to vineyard management is carried through from barrel to bottle.

At the heart of the Lou Miranda Estate winery is family, the seed from which all else grows. The power of three, combining their  strengths and passion to make memorable wines. They honour their heritage, embrace the present and toast to the future. Live Fierce!
